MY Top 10 Favorite Walt Disney World Table Service Restaurants!

MY Top 10 Table Service Restaurants at Walt Disney World

I am going to take you through a list of my Top 10 favorite Restaurant at Walt Disney World. Are they the best to everyone else who experiences Walt Disney World? Probably not, but they are my family's favorite! If you looked at 1,000 different Walt Disney World fans, I can guarantee you that they wouldn't come up with the same 10.These are the places that we return to almost every trip. Another thing you will notice is that I like the experiences of the dining. My choices are based on the fun that we had as well as the food.

I have said it many times, if it wasn't for the yummy food I am not sure I could get my husband to keep going back to Walt Disney World. I think eating at Walt Disney World is so much fun! You can't find theming as detailed and exciting as you will find in these restaurants and there is so much variety, you get a taste of everything.

So let's check out the Top 10. These are really in no particular order. I don't have one favorite, I enjoy all of these.

Sci-Fi Dine In: Remember what I said about theming? It doesn't get any better than the theming at the Sci-Fi Dine In theatre! You get to set in a dark, theatre like room and eat in a car! I believe this is the most fun of any theme at Walt Disney World!

50's Prime Time: This place is packed with the comfort of home as well as some comfort food. The best part about this place is their staff, they are in on the fun!

Jiko: Anyone who knows me knows that I am a picky eater and I am not that adventurous so they are surprised to discover that I love the African themed menu here at Jiko but honestly the meal we get consists of pizza, steak and macaroni! But it is possibly the best TASTING meal we had. The filet is so tender you can cut it when a spoon!

California Grill: Nothing beats the view from this restaurant. Schedule your reservation around the time of Wishes and enjoy the music being piped in as well as the amazing fireworks show. The food is amazing as well. Try the famous goat cheese ravioli for an appetizer.

Mickey's Backyard Barbecue: I think that this meal has the best character interaction of any character meal that I have seen. This is an old fashioned barbequeque and you get on picnic tables. It is very informal and tons of fun.

Hoop Dee Doo: This is a classic and is an absolute blast! The food is good and the show is awesome. Now, just try and get those songs out of your head for the rest of your trip! The show never gets old.
Crystal Palace: This is another restaurant with a great view! It is right near Cinderella Castle and so enchanting. Not to mention that you get to meet Pooh and Friends! This is my husband's favorite breakfast. He loves Pooh's Puff French Toast!

1900 Park Fare: This is another place where you can see Cinderella (for Dinner only) and you won't have to fight as hard for a reservation. Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins are there in the morning and the Mad Hatter is always a blast! It is also inside the beautiful Disney's Grand Floridian which also holds a special place in my heart as we stayed there for a family trip when I was younger.  The food is also wonderful, for some reason I think that they have the best fruit!

Chef Mickey's: If you have never been inside Disney's Contemporary Resort, you are definitely missing out! The resort is amazing in itself, with it's A-Shape frame and the monorail whizzing by, it is a memorable favorite of mine! You also get to meet Mickey and his friends here! You can't miss out on the twirlin' napkin fun! This is always a must see for families of small children!

Cinderella's Royal Table: It is every princesses' dream to get to eat in a castle! This is the hardest reservation to get on property so you need to take advantage of the 180 day booking window. This will also cost you 2 table service credits on the dining plan.

Honorable Mention: Trail's End: We used to love the buffet at lunch but it has been taken away. Although I have read that the dinner is just as good we haven't tried it yet. This is a really affordable buffet on property and I really love the atmosphere at Fort Wilderness so it is always a win!

We also really like Whispering Canyon.

All of these meals are on the Disney Dining Plan. If you have any questions or want to make a reservation, just give me a call or shoot me an email.

I would love to hear your favorite meals!

  1. Chef Mickey is a must for all! We loved the mickey shaped waffles. Such good food and soo much fun! Great place to see all the traditional Disney characters.

Hoop Dee Doo was another one of our favorites! The family style dining with chickn reminded me of one of my local favorites Galvins.

Not only do you get a great dining experience at Disney the food is always good!
