Character Matte-Alternatives to Disney Autograph Books

I decided to update you on how taking a photo matte for character autographs turned out. It turned out great! I will tell you that it wasn't the most convenient thing to carry around, I was always worried about it getting wet. I took one of the Walt Disney World bags and stored it in it all of the time.

Other than that, we really like our souvenir and I love that we can display the character signatures and be reminded of each character encounter we had.

What I didn't expect is how many of the characters would play with it! I have a couple of pictures of characters putting their face in it but even more did it than I have on camera. It was pretty funny!

Here it is with all of the signatures, I will put a picture from our trip in it and frame it and put it up on our wall, but I haven't got there yet. :)

  1. That is one of the best ideas EVER! (Now why can't I ever think of things like that?!) Definitely doing this next time we go!

  3. Awesome idea! I thought I read somewhere that they only sign Disney autograph books. Have you ever heard that?

  4. Love this idea! We'll definitely try it on our upcoming visit. Did you take your own sharpies, or did the characters all have different colors to use?

  5. I took my own Sharpies- I just got a mixed assortment. The characters won't have any, so you'll be sure to want to bring your own. Also, if you haven't made your reservations yet, I've love to help-or if you already have made them, I'll give you a Disney gift card you can use on your trip if you transfer your reservation to me! Of course, all of this is free. Just send me an email at disneytripexpert@gmail.com! Thanks for commenting!

  9. My exact thought Cheri----We have 5 children and I think this is a great idea--we leave in 3 weeks--wondering if this is really practical to carry around.

  11. I thought this would be rather good laminated and used as a table placemat! We could have a set!

  12. This is such a great idea! We are going for our first time in a few weeks and I've been debating if we should do a book or not: spend a lot of money on something that won't ever be used again? I am for sure doing this! What a great way to display a great (I hope!) memory! Thanks for sharing.
