Things to Bring to Disney- Two of the most helpful (but forgotten) items!

I'm going to start off the week with some simple, but very effective advice.

I've had a couple of posts about packing for Disney- now, I'm going to list two items that many people don't think to bring, but they could really use.

Even better- they are cheap, found everywhere, and are not a hassle to carry along.

So what are they?

The first item you'll want to bring? Zip lock bags!

You can use them when it rains, or when you may be going on a wet ride (you'll definitely need them if you plan on visiting the new Casey Jr. Splash Zone by the Dumbo rides).

Protect your money, cards, Fastpasses, and cell phone!

And really, a ziplock won't take much room in your pocket, purse, etc.

Second- portable hand sanitizer.

Why? Well, let's see.....Disney theme parks attendance for 2011 was only 121,400,000 people. I'm going to go out on a limb that not all of those people wash their hands after going to the bathroom, may have coughed or sneezed on their hands, or wiped their nose. Also, many of those are children- and you know children are full of yummy germs!

Look, I'm not a germaphobe or someone with an OCD. It's just there are a lot of people, and to have some hand sanitizer- why not? That way, when you stop and get a turkey leg, and you lick the juice off your finger, you're also not licking the boogers that my two year old left on a hand rail that you just touched.

Is there something you have found that is easy to pack, and something you won't leave home without? Leave a comment! I'd love to hear what you think!

  2. Our son got a bad sore throat at Disneyland. My cousin and her family all got the stomach bug. I am sure we all picked it up at Disneyland and I am sure probably shared it with others. Hand sanitizer is the best idea ever!
