Best Bag to take to Walt Disney World

Being sure to take a good bag throughout the Walt Disney World parks is very important. A lot of people ask me the best bag to take or what bag I use so I decided to share with you guys.

There are a couple features that I think are very important to the bag that you choose to take to Walt Disney World.

Disney's Art of Animation Underwater Sound System and Suite Previews

There is so much news to share with you about the new Disney's Art of Animation resort! I can hardly wait to see this in person!

The first video gives you a look inside the lobby of the resort and also the Finding Nemo pool. It will be the largest pool on property outside of the watermarks and it will have an underwater sound system where the characters will talk to you! How cool is that?

The next video gives you a tour of one of the finished Finding Nemo suites! I think it gives you a good look at the bed that comes out of the wall that I was a little concerned about. It looks like a good size bed that will be comfortable.

Magic Play Floor in the Oceaneer Lab on Disney Fantasy

Yet another reason to be excited about the Disney Fantasy. Check out this interactive video game that you can plan in the Oceaneer lab on the ship. It is so cool. This lab is for kids or for adults accompanying children. I am ready to take a cruise, how about you?

Disney Character Signature Ideas, Character Book Alternatives

I think that Klarabelle is just about the age where she will enjoy getting the characters signatures at Walt Disney World. So for this trip we are going to try it out! In that past I have always used a autograph book and that is fun and all but after our trip we rarely look at it.

I started thinking that I may want to do something with the characters that will be something that Klarabelle can look at more frequently.

One idea I found was to get a pillow case and fabric markers and have the characters sign that so she would be able to see the signatures every night before bed! If you do something like this it would be important to bring something hard for the characters to write on. You could do this on a t-shirt too!

Another idea is to get a matte for a frame, one that is a bit larger like this so there is plenty of room for the signatures. Then all you have to do is put a picture in and frame it and you have a wonderful display of your signatures and a picture from the trip!

Some people also get the large, blank Vinylmation figures to have characters sign.

I have also seen where some people buy a Disney book and have the characters sign it.

Does your child love baseball? Let him carry a baseball and have his favorite characters sign it.

You could also have characters sign a poster that you purchase or the park map from the week you were there. The ideas are endless! Do you have any?

These are just a couple ideas I have, of course if you want to go the traditional autograph route it is always fun to make your own! Let me know if you have any ideas!

My favorite FREE Souvenir at Walt Disney World

There aren't a whole lot of things just given away at Walt Disney World but there is one souvenir that is free that I just can't get enough of!

If you have never been to the Magic of Disney Animation at Disney's Hollywood Studios then you are missing out! Actually, I was missing out until my cousin Angie went in 2009 and told me about it. I don't know how I missed this place in all of my trips but somehow I did.

The Magic of Disney Animation starts with a tour of what was once the animation studio in Florida before they consolidated into one in Anaheim. They also have a showing of a character from Mulan. This is interesting but not really what I call the "fun part" the best part is what comes next.

My Homemade Disney Countdown

Even though it will be my 10th trip to Walt Disney World in May, I am still as excited as if it were my first. I can't wait to see all of Walt Disney World with my two little ones! With that being said, I decided it was time to make a countdown of the days until out trip on May 24th!

I started the countdown when there was 44 days left until our trip and now we are down to 38! It is getting closer everyday!

My countdown isn't anything too fancy and it didn't take a whole lot of work but I thought I would share it with you anyway. Klarabelle sure loves to take off a day every day and she is so excited to go to Walt Disney World!

I went out to Home Depot and got some, okay a lot, of their Disney paint samples. I got one of every color and then went back and got some of my favorites. I also got some clothes pins and some Tinkerbell ribbon, picked out by Klarabelle. I used a variety of Sharpie markers.
Here are the supplies I used.

The next thing I did was number all of the Mickey heads from 44 on.

Of course Klarabelle and Kyber had to get in on the fun!

The finished product, it was super easy and cheap! I spent under $8. I know it isn't very fancy but it was easy and easier to remove a day everyday. As the days go down we will be able to see the Tinkerbell ribbon more. I just tacked it up on my mantle.

I decided to post some of them on my blog!

Kerry Feuling My last "family vacation" before we all moved out on our own after college.

Heather Zahner Going to Disney for the first time and seeing all the princesses and getting their autographs :) Or when I went a few years ago and my dad said loudly "Look Heather! Its Winnie the pooh!" I turn to look and its just a big lady in a orange shirt

Stephanie France When my mom took my sister and I when we were little and we got to see and experience so much. My mom was having a rough time and was in need of a vacation so we met our cousins in Orlando and we all went to Disney World for a week. I think she enjoyed seeing the looks on our faces more than anything else.

Kendra Popp Charbula My favorite Disney Memory was my lil girls 3rd birthday -which was November 4th - she wanted Minnie Mouse, so I went all out on decorations, food, and gifts. The excitement of her big day and all the compliments I got for all the hard work was and will forever be the most wonderful memories of all!!

Lisa Horafus Kaiser My favorite Disney memory is the first time I took my boys... I have been to Disney over 10 times but to seeing your kids have all the joy and excitement for the 1st time was truly amazing! My son broke his leg before we went and we went to the dance party at Hollywood studios and Goofy all night came and danced with him in his wheelchair!

Stephanie Keime my favorite memory is when i was when i got free tickets for a day to disney world because my husband was away at desert storm and we got to go right before Christmas and actually stay at the Grand Floridian where they had giant gingerbread houses BUT i went on a bus by myself with my 5 SONS AGES 2 MONTHS, AND 2, 5, 7,10 YEARS OLD. especially when we stayed allllllll day and then i had to carry the sleeping 2 years old while the 10 years old carried the 2 month old. haha should i go on? totally worth it for disney though.

Beth Wright Cobb My favorite Disney memory was in September 2008. We had just gone through the most difficult summer of our lives culminating in brain surgery for my then 4 year old son. 6 weeks post surgery, we decided to spend a long weekend at Disney thanks to free Night of Joy tickets that I won from a local radio station. We decided to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge to "splurge" because we really needed to relax. We had a wonderful weekend thanks to all the Disney magic

Emily Richardson My favorite Disney memory has yet to come..it will most definitely be seeing the look on my daughter's face the first time she steps foot in Disney World!!!! :-D

Sarah Talkington My favorite Disney memory was going when I was 5. I couldn't go with all my cousins & grandparents the month before because my mom was in the hospital having my brother so my grandparents took me a month later. In between that time I broke my ankle & had to be in a cast. Captain Hook signed it and made a big deal out of it- still have the cast! :) thanks for a great giveaway!

Meghan Barbosa I have too many wonderful memories to list. Each time I visited WDW it was amazing ♥ One of my all time favorites was going with my husband (then boyfriend) who'd never been. And watching his face light up in awe!! It just reminded me how magical it all is! I can't wait for us to bring our 2 children this year!!

Deborah Sherard Favorite memory was taking my granddaughter to Disney last winter. She was 9, the perfect age to see all the princesses. Wish we had had more time.

You can check out the rest on my Facebook page at Facebook.com/disneytripexpert

What does a Disney Travel Specialist do?

A lot of people ask me what I actually do for my clients. What do my services entail? Well let's start by remembering that all my services are 100% FREE!

My number one offer is HELP and ADVICE! I am here to help you make planning a Disney vacation easier and to answer all the questions that you may have.

Planning a Walt Disney World Vacation can be stressful and some people have no clue where to start.

The first thing that I usually do is help guests choose which resort they would like to stay in based on their budget/needs. Some people are very budget conscious while others are looking for convenience and ease of transpiration to their favorite park. I can easily tell them the best location to fit their needs.

I also help clients pick the best park tickets for them. If they think that they would like to be in more than one park per day, then park hopper is best for them! I help them distinguish between all of the different kinds of tickets.

I am a discount checking agent, which means that I am constantly checking for discounts and making sure I get the best deals for my clients. Even after you have booked/even paid in full we can apply discounts to help you save money or get money back!

Another service of mine is doing all of the dining reservations, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and that kind of thing. It really takes all the hassle out of planning your vacation! I absolutely love doing it!

Itinerary making: I create an itinerary for my clients that has all of their dining reservations and any other reservations on it. It also includes any confirmation numbers and any other information that I think will help them out!

Remember, I don't just do Walt Disney World vacations, I do all Disney vacations including Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and the best thing is that my services are 100% FREE!

Retro Disneyland Dooney and Bourke

I love the Disney/Douney and Bourke collaboration. I have 3 of them!

Although I am partial to Walt Disney World, I think these new Retro Disneyland Douney and Bourke purses are very cute!

This collection is available in the wristlet, mini barrel, tassel tote, satchel, letter carrier and an iPad case (if only I had an iPad!) . I love the letter carrier style because it is hands free.

The collection will remain exclusive to the Disneyland resort. I love the colors and cute little pictures. I hope they come out with something this cute for Walt Disney World!

Stay tuned for a couple of other collections that will be coming out in the upcoming weeks. I hope they are there for our trip in May!

Walt Disney World Summer Room Offer

I am honestly shocked about this offer. It is rare that Disney would offer a discount in the summer. This means that there has been a discount from April-October of 2012. That is pretty amazing. Does this mean that Disney is struggling in attendance? I doubt it but I am VERY shocked that they felt the need to offer a discount in the summer.

Disney's Grand Floridian Easter Display

If you read this blog at all you have probably figured out that I am huge DISBoards.com/WDWInfo.com fan. I think that they are excellent tools for helping you plan a Walt Disney World vacation.

So today I decided to borrow something from them to show you! I think this really captures my feelings for this week as we approach Easter and Spring Break.

The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Walt Disney World have created a new setup for Easter. These beautiful, Disney themed, hand-painted eggs which have previously been displayed in Disney's Grand Floridian restaurants are now on display for all to see.

Nineteen cast members spent 3 weeks decorating the edible works of art and they did a fantastic job!
