Did you enjoy Brave? Be "Brave" at Disney Parks

This was taken directly from the Disney Parks Blog, it shows 5 fun things to do inside Disney Parks that involve the new DIsney-Pixar film.  I think it forgot a couple that are also very important, there is a Merida meet and great in the Magic Kingdom as well the interactive Brave tournament at Epcot, Highland Games.

These 5 "Brave" things to do in the Disney Parks are great as well!

The new Disney•Pixar film “Brave” has been in theaters for a week now, and the epic adventure of Scottish princess Merida is a worldwide smash hit. We’re celebrating the movie here in Disney Parks, too. Check out these posts for ways that you can get “Brave” at Walt Disney World Resort, at Disneyland Resort, and even in Scotland itself:
  1. Disney•Pixar’s ‘Brave’ to Join ‘World of Color’ at Disney California Adventure Park – Sequences from “Brave” set to Patrick Doyle’s stirring Scottish score are now lighting up the nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure park.
  2. Scotland is a New Adventures by Disney Destination – Adventurers with Adventures by Disney can now take a journey to Scotland that follows in the footsteps of the filmmakers who created “Brave.”
  3. Choosing Merchandise from DisneyŸ•Pixar’s ‘Brave’ at Disney Parks – Guests can pick up Merida-themed apparel, Vinylmationpins and more in Disney Parks and online.
  4. Be Brave! Discover Your Inner Merida with an Archery Lesson at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground at Walt Disney World Resort – Disney Parks Blog Author Gary Buchanan tries his hand at Merida’s favorite pastime, archery, with a lesson at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
  5. A ‘Brave’ Experience at Disneyland Park – Watch a video of what it’s like to meet Merida at Disneylandpark. Merida greets guests in an area of Fantasyland specially themed to the “Highland Games” sequence of the film, offering archery practice and other activities. (You can find out what it’s like to meet Merida at Magic Kingdom Park, too!)

Kids Scared of Disney Characters? Tips for preparing your kids to meet Mickey

Imagine waking up your kids the day of your trip. You've been keeping it a secret, and can finally let it out. "Come on kids, we packed your bags, today we're going to Walt Disney World!"

Your children are jumping all over the place. This is their first trip to Disney, and they have been watching Disney Junior for years, and can finish the words for half of the Disney movies. This is going to be a trip of a lifetime!

You board the Magical Express, get dropped off at your hotel... first stop, Magic Kingdom! Hey, look, there's Crystal Palace! We have the a dining reservation for half an hour from now. Let's stop and eat before we hit the parks! And then the magical vacation quickly takes a turn-

AHHHHHH! Its.... WINNIE THE POOH (Not Ursula, no Scar... Not a witch or Cruella Deville.. It's the willy nilly silly old bear)! This doesn't have to be you! There are some steps you can take to prevent/ease these situations.

Pixar's Brave opens today! Check out my real life Triplet!

Today is the long awaited release of Brave from Pixar!

That's Princess Merida, the star of the show- and the first leading lady in a Pixar film!

Being a red head myself, I've always been a fan of Ariel. Now I think I'll have a co-favorite!

And even better, I think I have a real life version of some of the characters.

Here's Merida's brothers- they are triplets.

I found this description of them on the Pixar Wiki site-
"Identical triplets Harris, Hubert and Hamish are adorable, redheaded, and always ready to stir up a bit of mischief, especially if sweets are at stake. They can communicate wordlessly with their sly smiles, subtle glances and rascally giggles."

If they were to cast a real life version, or maybe a character to roam the parks... I don't think they could come any closer to my son! Not only did they catch his spirit- my son is always giggling, ornery, and making new girlfriends when we go out. What do you think?

Needless to say, I'm excited to watch Brave! Click the link, & you'll find what others are saying about the movie, and reviews.

Disney PINterest: Disney Pin Trading & and the PINhead Challenge.

This post has been all PINt inside me...it's a piPINg hot one!

So you want to go to a Disney theme park. You'll experience the rides, food, shopping, and doing more walking in one day than the previous year- and then have to do it all over again the next four days!

One of the most popular activities are Disney pin trading and Disney pin collecting. There are stores solely dedicated to Disney pins- and you can find them by nearly every register. Close your eyes as the throngs of people pass by, and each time you open them you'll see a number of people wearing a lanyard stocked with more pins than a pincushion.

Why the fuss? They are relatively inexpensive. There are also countless designs, so they appeal to the masses. Even better, you can trade your pins with any Cast Member (i.e. Disney employee) in the theme parks! It's a great way to interact with the employees, and a fun activity. You and your children will always be on the lookout for the next great pin.

Well, I've decided to have a little fun with Disney pins. Clink the link to catch a piece of the action!

The newest style in Mickey Ears..also Pixar's newest film, Brave!

Imagine you're hungry for dinner. You're in a hurry, and have to pick up your child from practice. McDonalds is on the way, so you plan on stopping there. There's no way you're leaving that drive-through without an order of fries- it's the backbone of McDonalds!

Well, for me, there's something similar when my family visits a Disney park.

It's the annual rite of passage (at least in my family)- when it's someone's first trip, they have to get the iconic Mickey Ears hat with their name etched in the back.

After the first trip, then we can pick one of the fun pairs. On our honeymoon, my husband and I wore the bride and groom Mickey Ears.

Now, Disney has taken it to the next level! Hit the link to find out more.

My #1 Epcot tip for this summer/fall!

It has never been a secret that Soarin' Over California in Walt Disney World's Epcot has one of the longest lines at Walt Disney World. I have always told people how important it is to get a Fast Pass for this ride. But I just wanted to share that it is more important than ever now that Test Track is closed for refurbishment.

Disney Vacation Club Resort Community Hall

It wasn't until the last hour of the last day of our trip that we discovered the wonderful Community Hall in Bay Lake Tower. I have never stayed at a DVC resort until Bay Lake Tower so I had never even heard of the Community Hall.

Not Just Princesses: Disney World for Dads

With Father's Day approaching, it's a great time to touch on some of the things segmented towards the male gender. I've had a couple of clients contact me, and after receiving their quote, say : "Ok, now all I have to do is sell this to my husband!" Not yet have I had the inverse occur.... a husband having to convince his wife. Well, here are some activities that would convince your husband/father/boyfriend/son/anyone who can grow a mustache to see what Disney is all about.

Radiator Springs Racer ride through at the new Cars Land in Disneyland

This is one of the most highly anticipated rides to open in Disney Park history and boy was it worth the wait. Obviously, I have not ridden this ride but it looks AMAZING. I can't believe the theming that went into this. Check out the video to see the amazing rock features they did and that waterfall, WOW! I can't believe how well done the characters in the ride are. They are so cool. I can't wait to go to Disneyland and try this new ride!

Forget Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels, These are a few of my favorite things-Caramel and Chocolate Covered Rice Crispy Treats!

Why do you go to Disney?

Some people go to Disney World because they have the cartoons, and want to see the characters.

Some people go to Disney because they want to feel the magic, and to be a part of something that is so surreal... either to just be happy, or to take a break from the "real world."

Some go to Disney for the rides. They are some of the best in the world- from the theming, technology & interaction, to the actual thrills.

This post is not for you people. This post is for the people who go to Disney for the unique, savory, delicious, mouth watering, only-found-in-Disney-food. And to be specific-the Disney bakeries.

Character Matte-Alternatives to Disney Autograph Books

I decided to update you on how taking a photo matte for character autographs turned out. It turned out great! I will tell you that it wasn't the most convenient thing to carry around, I was always worried about it getting wet. I took one of the Walt Disney World bags and stored it in it all of the time.

Other than that, we really like our souvenir and I love that we can display the character signatures and be reminded of each character encounter we had.

What I didn't expect is how many of the characters would play with it! I have a couple of pictures of characters putting their face in it but even more did it than I have on camera. It was pretty funny!

Here it is with all of the signatures, I will put a picture from our trip in it and frame it and put it up on our wall, but I haven't got there yet. :)
