Planes- this summers Disney hit!

Doesn't it just seem like yesterday Cars was coming out? I remember it like it was yesterday... a warm summer Friday night, and I was just wanting to check out what everyone was talking about. I had no idea what I was in for. And soon after, it became the monster that it is!

Well, buckle up. Disney is at it again, and this time they are taking it to the air.

From the official Disney website,

"From above the world of “Cars” comes “Disney’s Planes,” an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. But Dusty’s not exactly built for racing—and he happens to be afraid of heights.

So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar. “Disney’s Planes” takes off in theaters in 3D on Aug. 9, 2013, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters."

That's right- August 9th. So to all school teachers and children who despise August, there's at least one reason to look forward to August now!
I know I can't wait to take my own children to see the film- and we'll be visiting Walt Disney World in September. I'm sure we'll find plenty of "Planes" propaganda (and hopefully a character) at the parks.

Of course, I'd be crazy if I didn't mention the newest film announced by Disney Pixar. Finding Dory will be released in Fall 2015... Seems like this one took awhile, compared to Toy Story and Cars. Nevertheless, I'll still be excited!
