Where to stay-Fun Themed Disney Rooms

Deciding where to stay is usually one of the hardest decisions for planning your Disney vacation. It is usually where I begin with clients. Usually it really comes down to budget but some other fun things can also factor in.

Your Disney trip will be effected greatly by the hotel/resort you decide to stay at- price, convenience, overall trip experience.

Some people ask about staying off property and I feel if you REALLY want to make this a magical and the trip you always wanted, stay on property. Yes, it costs more. And there's some options for a family that you may have never known- and believe me, this is one experience you will never get at the Holiday Inn. As a matter of fact, some of the resorts really aren't THAT bad when it comes to price.

If you are looking for an awesome experience for a family at a lower price, check out some of these options:

Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans Resort — Riverside
Want to make your daughter feel like a true Disney princess? These rooms are for you. First, there's fiber optics fireworks in the headboard. FIREWORKS!
The rest of the room is designed with a royal touch, so your kids will truly feel like a prince or princess.

Pirate Rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
If you have a little boy that loves pirates this may be for you! I am often asked what is good for boys.  Just look at that bed! If your child loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates, this is one way to really leave a lasting memory with them. Be careful though, a common complaint about these rooms is their location, they are a little further away from the amenities of the resort as well as the comfort of the beds.

And finally, there's a multiple of options at Disney's newest resort, the Art of Animation Resort. This place just screams Disney characters. I always say this is a good choice if you want to go somewhere that will really get your kids excited. It will also have lots of characters that your kids will recognize. It really blows the other values out of the water! I always say

You can choose a family suite (you can fit up to 6!) that's themed to the Disney/Pixar movie of your liking- Finding Nemo, Cars, or the Lion King. Is that not what you were looking for? How about going to your room with a giant Ariel right outside your room, because you can also choose the Little Mermaid standard rooms. Once you arrive at this resort, you'll see all kinds of small details that will make you feel like you are a part of the movie. From the Cozy Cone motel theme at the Cars pool to feeling like you are Under the Sea in a Little Mermaid shower, the attention to details is stunning.

On top of this, you also get all the perks Disney has to offer- an extra hour in a theme park each day, the ability to be on the dining plan, Disney transportation to the theme parks, access to higher quality food options than your standard hotel, and just the all around Disney feel that you want to be a part of your trip.

That's not even mentioning Animal Kingdom Lodge, where there is a safari right outside your room, or the geyser at the Wilderness Lodge- or my favorite, one of the resorts on the monorail that make getting to the theme parks so much easier. However, the Disney Story Rooms are priced a little lower than those rooms so hopefully you can save just a little extra and really make your trip a magical experience.
